NB: Refinishing of guitars not built by Ash Customworks is off the menu for the forseeable future. I have enough custom built guitars going through the system to max out my painting capacity for now, so the only way to get Ash Customworks paint work is to order a shiny new Ash or Radian guitar - GREAT IDEA, RIGHT! :D

Since September 1st, 2011 the guitar build queue is preceded by a waiting list. If you want a custom guitar built, the first thing to do is to buy yourself a place in the waiting list ($50). Once your turn arrives your design/quote will be done ($150) and when a place in the build queue opens up, you pay your 30% deposit and it's all go! Compared to before, we'll have more time to design and prepare your guitar and you'll have less of a wait for it to be built. While we transition from a queue of 25 guitars down to just 6 guitars, (it's down to 19 right now)I expect the waiting list time to be about 7 months. That means you should get on the list NOW. Whats New - Radian Guitars>>

The Radian range of classic guitar designs is being refined all the time and currently we have teles, strats, jazzmasters, superstrat, RRV, LP, SG and a few other legends in the standard range. The upcoming Radian Plus range opens the door for affordable workhorse versions of even more classic guitar designs with custom options. Whats New - Blackwood, Korina and Mahogany >>

First it was Korina, then another stash of genuine old-growth Mahogany, this year the Tasmanian Blackwood stash is getting busted open! My blackwood is 100% NZ grown and milled, air dried and seasoned. Tasmanian Blackwood is the nearest thing to Hawaiian Koa and it looks very similar. Tonally it is very much like old-growth Honduras Mahogany, although people who know often say it's better! It's certainly a more ethical choice and much more beautiful. Korina was the timber of choice for the original Flying Vees, Explorers and Modernes in 1958 and has seen a resurgence in popularity amongst high-end guitar makers in the last decade. Mahogany on the other hand has always been a favourite and now I have lots of the very best to offer you. Email or call to get your name on some of this unique stock.
